When I first met Scott I felt he was a nice enough guy that I could really enjoy spending time with. He was always a consummate professional on the job and a no-holds-barred, pedal-to-the-metal guy off the job.
The first thing that stood out to me about Scott was his tattoo of Darwin’s Monkey on his back. One day, I questioned him about it and it led us to a conversation about God. Scott was very
respectful in listening to what I had to say but was clearly not interested in any of my “preaching”
that I had for him. This all happened about 4 years ago.
When he told me about his idea of “Race 2 the Rapture” I thought back to the Darwin's Monkey conversation. I thought: "this is why he and I met, so I could plant that seed of our savior and let God do the rest”.
Since that time, Scott and his family have found the love of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit now flows through his speech and his being in everything he does.
God has done a wonderful work in this man's life and I am proud to call him my best friend. Many miles separate us and I still feel empty when he and I have not had the opportunity to connect. (not applicable) With Scott’s background in racing and his passion for children, I believe this will be something that will touch many lives and bring lost souls to Jesus.
